His Idea

Last Friday, one of my campers asked about this week's space camp. He thought awhile and then said, "We need a rocket. One that people can stand in." Believe me, I did put some thought into this, but couldn't quite put it together in my head. My daughter said, "Oh, he won't remember on Monday." Ha! Not only did he remember, but he had it all designed in his head. He told me exactly what he needed, how it needed to be constructed, and what needed to be placed on the outside.

The only part he is still figuring out is the door to get inside. He wanted me to cut the paper so it opened like a door. But then it hung open. And so he used tape to keep it closed. But then it ripped when he tried to open it. He decided he'll give it another day of thought.

And I know he will!

  2. Oh, Teacher Gina, you know G too well, and can appreciate how I worked myself into a sweat trying to put this together with his specifics!!! When I told him he can take it home at the end of camp (tomorrow), he beamed.
