Play Dough Muffins

I do not know what this utensil is called, but it is perfect for play dough! The preschoolers love to use it to make large balls of dough - that they call muffins. We keep a play microwave close by that they use to cook their play dough creations.

Valentines With 3 Year Olds

Like with my 2 Year Olds, we hung the 3 Year Olds' valentine holders in the hallway and the parents helped the children distribute their cards before class started. Every Friday I have a parent helper, so I had her assist the children in making cupcakes. After gym, towards the end of our morning, the children frosted their cupcakes, added sprinkles, and enjoyed eating them. Very simple. Very fun. Just perfect for this age group!

Their Plans, Their Ideas, Their Interests

Lately our little writing center has been so popular that the preschoolers have asked if they could sit at the larger table. They get so engrossed in their work! They've been wanting to make books. Oh, and envelopes to hold their work. They bring me a piece of paper and ask for help in folding and stapling the sides. Yesterday Kelsey asked for lacing yarn. Two pieces, please. And the hole punch. And more paper. She had this idea of creating some sort of mobile that could hang in her bedroom. I really think she could've worked on it for hours, but we had a class visitor scheduled and she had to put it away.

I love watching the creativity in my 3 year olds! I can just see the wheels turning in their little brains. I can't wait to see what they come up with tomorrow!
