Autumn Trees

Oh, how I love Pinterest. I found the cutest autumn tree activity. (Yes, this time I remembered the source!) It tied in nicely with this week's theme, and my 3's loved it! I love using Q-Tips for the fine muscles. Some dabbed, some brushed.

Earlier that morning, I brought some leaves of different colors to display on this art table to show the different colors. The children were delighted to see a slug on one of the leaves. We named him Stanley and put him in a plastic cup so he could "watch" us while we made our trees. Well, Stanley was an energetic one. He crawled to the top of the cup and leaned way out. The children laughed and said he was watching them.

  3. Katie, I love using Q-Tips because they are great for working those very small muscles in the fingers!
