Water Color Leaves

This is one of our favorite fall activities. We use pre-cut tissue paper leaves, but you could use any shape of tissue paper.

Dilute some liquid water colors and add pipettes (or eye droppers). We used some gold as well, and it added a nice subtle shimmer to the leaves when they dried.

Not only a fun activity, but also great for working on those fine motor skills. We wad our tissue paper and let it dry that way, so when it's unfolded, it has almost a tie-dyed effect.

The result is amazing!

  2. Hi there Sheryl!
I'm a music teacher, and I work at a nursery school, teaching music to 2 to 5 year olds. I LOVE my job (though it's not like a job to me), I really enjoy working with little ones.
It's amazing what you can make with them, isn't it? I'll tell my colleagues about your idea: water colour leaves. Sounds great fun.
    I;m glad I "descovered" you.
    Have a nice week!
