Foam Snow People

When I saw Cathy's Foam Snowman over at Pre-School Play, I thought it would be a fun activity for my 3's.

I cut simple snow people shapes from cardstock and mixed glue and shaving cream. {Some of the snow people didn't get enough foam, like the one pictured above.}

So I started adding more shaving cream.

While some got into the details of what to put on their snow people, others loved the feeling of the paint and foam in their hands.

I set out various materials like orange triangles, plastic milk jug caps, yarn, buttons....

And I think they turned out cute! I love how each has its own personality, just like the children.

It did help to read Snowballs first {see post before this one} and I set the book on the table so they could see all the different snow people and animals.

Tomorrow we will be making ice cream snowmen!
