When I saw a post about salt painting over at A Bit of This and a Bit of That, I just had to try it with my 3's. I love any activity that is process-oriented, and this one definitely was. Plus, there was some great fine motor going on here, with squeezing glue, spooning salt, pinching pipettes!
1. Squeeze glue onto heavy paper.
2. Spoon salt on top of glue. (Notice we did this in a box top lid.)
3. Shake off excess salt.
4. Squeeze liquid watercolors on salt/glue.
5. Watch all the colors blend and shine from the salt.
Simply beautiful!
