Our Post Office

Today we opened our preschool post office!

I sent a letter home last week asking for donations and here is what we got:

  • envelopes of all sizes
  • Priority Mail boxes
  • cards with envelopes
  • junk mail
  • stamps
  • stickers
  • post cards

They loved putting the envelopes in the mail box and carting the big boxes around in a cart.

At the adjacent writing table, I printed out these envelope and stamp templates. It tied in nicely with passing out our Valentine cards today.

I'm in no hurry to put this away. I set it up in an area where we can keep it out as long as we want, until I see they are ready to move on. The 2's will enjoy some of this tomorrow as well!
