This week our 3's made cloud jars, inspired by Deborah over at Teach Preschool. We decided to have our 2's do a simpler version: squirting watercolors onto shaving cream.
They were given a tray with their selection of watercolors, pipettes, and shaving cream.
What excitement when the colors blended and absorbed into the cream!
When they were finished squirting colors on the shaving cream, they spooned little rainbow clouds onto paper.
I loved how you could still see the swirls of colors!

You can also do marbling this way. Have them play with the shaving cream & paint and when they like it, smooth a piece of paper on it. Wipe off the shaving cream, and the swirls stay on the paper. They are beautiful! I've done it with elem. aged kids with Autism.
ReplyDeleteCool! We will try that one, too!
