Watercolor Markers

Have you lost caps to your markers? Don't throw them out! They make great watercolors!

Set out the markers and a tray of water, along with some paper.

Dip the markers into the water and then draw on paper.

This was a fun fine motor exercise for our 2 year olds.

{Especially when a marker "somehow" got glue on it from the adjacent table and got stuck to the paper.}

And yes, the caps do show up later. Magically. And we save those for different projects.

  2. We do this too! I keep a bucket of them outside to use all the time!

  3. Can you use liquid watercolors to 'refill' dried up markers? I think I read about it somewhere but forget how to do it.
