Spray Painting with Watercolors

Once we were finished with the chalk spray, I emptied the spray bottles and filled with them with liquid watercolors and water. I love using spray bottles for building hand and finger strength. Did you know there are over 25 muscles in your forearm and hand? (You can read more about it here.)

For this activity, I set up our table-top easel. Basically, it once was part of a full easel, but was cumbersome to move around. So, we took the top off and added a chain on the side so it couldn't collapse. No more bulky heavy base! It folds flat for storage.

I love the great outdoors for activities such as this. Drip drip drip. No big deal!

We just love painting outdoors!

  1. We did this once - but inside. I haven't done this since then. (It was not a good experience for me...but the kids loved it.)

I need to pull this idea out again. Thanks for the reminder.

    1. LOL Scott. Now you have me wondering what happened! Now I did keep this pretty diluted, so maybe that helped? And yes, someone did get me with the spray a few times. On accident, of course. :)

  2. outside, always outside!! I blogged about how I'm nervous about mixing toddlers with paint, but it's always well worth it!
