Knight Helmets and Princess Hats

Our theme for last week's summer camp was "Kingdom Kids". I've been posting some pictures of our castle and such in my Facebook photo album.

The girls made princess hats out of wallpaper samples.

They chose the pattern and we cut it out of the book and stapled it into a cone shape, fitting their heads.

They adorned them with ribbons and jewels. We also attached ribbon at the ends so we could tie it under their necks, securing the hat a bit better.

The boys made knight helmets from plastic gallon jugs. We cut around and removed the handle so that it was shaped like a helmet, shorter in front.

We took some torn paper and attached it to the jugs paper mache style.

Once dry, the helmets were painted grey.

And adorned with gold.

Perfect for the castle!
