Awhile back, I put the call out to my preschool families for old spices. One of the grandmas graciously gave me an entire spice rack of old spices, rack included!
While we were making rolls at the other table, I set up a bin with oatmeal in it.
The preschoolers helped themselves to the spices and added them to the oatmeal. They enjoyed telling me what foods they thought of (pizza, lasagna, cinnamon bread, tacos). As you can imagine, the room was quite fragrant!
After they emptied a bottle, they'd open the lid and refill it and shake it again. This became a fun activity for many of the preschoolers.
What a fun way to use something that was ready to be tossed!

I love this idea!
