Using Plexi Glass Sign Holders

Today at the fine motor table I had the 3's write on plexi-glass sign holders. I got this idea from Deborah over at Teach Preschool, and you can read about it here.

We just finished week 3 of preschool and have learned how to take the caps off the markers...

...and putting the caps back on, listening for the "snap" sound.

Since our shape was the circle this month, I made copies of a circle and placed a sheet in each page holder. After they colored their circles, or added more circles to their circles, or turned them into faces, they wiped the markers off with a damp paper towel so the next friend could use it.

Now I'm yearning for a big plexi glass easel .....

  1. These would be fantastic for printmaking, too, don't you think? The children could paint right on them, put their paper on top and "move the paint" like I say when kids are making prints! Oooh, the possibilities! Thanks so much for sharing :)
